BUS CONVERSION

ALL FRAMED UP

Framing... not a ton of it ...but it is really hard to do in here with nothing level or plumb. Walls angle out at bottom and in at top, the ceiling is curved and the floor is bowed. Walls are 2x pine which is really light. It is screwed together with 3" epoxy screws which won't rust. It doesn't require allot of cross bracing as it will be clad with 1/2" ultralight MDF. This panel is lightweight and rigid, and does not blow up if it gets wet. Also it machines well which will be good when I route in decorative V-grooving in some areas. This was something I did in last bus that I liked and would repeat. It makes nice walls and you never have to looking for a stud to mount anything. Also paints well.

I will do the inside of the bathroom soon so you can see. Then on to electrical work which is one of my favorite tasks.

Closer view of the bathroom. It is 56" square and will hold a corner shower, toilet and sink.

This photo in the bathroom of the Bluebird shows how the paneling will look where I v-groove it. It is probably half the size of the MCI and there is no shower inside.
