Being elbow deep in dirty petroleum products and grime of old undercarriage, I muddled my way through a couple process that got me to know the old bus a little better. It is not something one wishes for but the lessons allow understanding to begin to form out of fog. I spent allot of time with the manual and figured out where may of the systems were. It is quite a complex system. I will take a few photos soon to show.
Earlier in the week I spent better part of the day dealing with no run issue. It was determined that it was a fuel issue. Got the gigantic air filter off and was able to run it at an idle using starting fluid. Unfortunately a couple cans was not enough to solve the problem and run it on its own.
Regrouped and hit it again using a small 12v pump to pump fuel into the fuel lines. Fire right up and ran for about five minutes until it emptied both of the fuel filters. The good news is it starts and runs very smooth. Bad news is its still not getting fuel.
Got to hit it again and now have a couple ideas. Worst case is I can create a secondary fuel tank and run it enough to bring it home. But first I want to try pumping directly from existing tank. If that fails then it really isolates the problem. If it works one option is to permanently install the pump inline
Whatever the case, I am not too far from being able to get it rolling. Will take another stab at it in a day or so.
